What the job actually is
What an appointment setter does all day, who pays for it, and the pay structures that exist. Most lads have never had this explained plainly, which is exactly why they think it's made up.
How to pick an offer worth attaching to
The single biggest reason setters earn nothing is attaching to a bad offer, and it happens before they send one message. I'll show you the filter I use and what a good one looks like from the outside.
The phone work that actually books calls
Lads over complicate dialing so much and go looking for script after script after script. The most important thing is to actually listen to what the lead is saying and stop focusing on what to say next. I'll take you through how we triage a list and what a booked call sounds like.
How you get hired with no track record
The question every single person has and almost nobody answers. What a business is actually looking for when they take on a setter, what to show them when you've got nothing to show, and where the roles are.
Construction culture glorifies suffering and we just accept it. Destroying your knees by 30? Respect. Never seeing your family? Respect. But wanting more out of life makes you soft. I was that lad on site. I got out.

I did the full apprenticeship and got the ticket. A year and a half ago I was an electrician in Sweden, dreading absolutely every Monday because the work just wasn't fulfilling in any way. I left the trade in 2025.
I run Beyond Set. We started in September 2025 and we've taught 75+ lads since. 65 are in there now. There's a call every weekday, and every one of them gets recorded and posted so you're never waiting on me.
We meet up in person a few times a year. Last one was 20 odd Irish lads on the coast for a weekend. A year ago most of them didn't know each other existed. Watching lads who'd only ever talked in a group chat actually stand in a room together is genuinely my favourite part of this.

The questions I get every week
Is this another one of those online money things?
The sales world is full of lads who did two grand once and started selling a course about it. I get it. I'd be sceptical too.
So come on the night and judge it yourself. I'll show you the lads by name, I'll answer whatever you ask me live, and the next step after it is an application rather than a checkout, because this doesn't suit everybody and I'd rather find that out before you pay me.
Do I need sales experience?
No. Most of the lads who come to us have never sold anything. What matters is you can listen, and you turn up when you said you would. Construction lads are already good at both. That's most of it.
Do I have to pack in my job?
No, and I'd tell you not to. Nearly everyone starts this in the evenings while they're still earning. You find out if it's for you before you change a thing.
Is it just sending DMs all day?
No. There's a DM side and there's phone work on people who already put their hand up. The phone is where the money is and it's the bit almost nobody teaches properly. I'll cover both.
How long before I'd actually be earning?
It depends entirely on what you put in, and anyone who gives you a flat number is guessing. I'm not going to put a date on it for you here.
