I'm Ryan. I'm 24 and I'm a qualified sparky.
I did the full apprenticeship and got the ticket. A year and a half ago I was an electrician in Sweden, dreading every Monday. I left the trade in 2025. It didn't change overnight, but my Sunday nights stopped feeling heavy.
I run Beyond Set. We started in September 2025 and there's 100 people in there now, most of them off sites and out of factories.
We meet up in person a few times a year. Last one was 20 odd of us on the coast for a weekend. Most of them had never met. Watching people who'd only talked in a group chat stand in a room together is my favourite part of this.
Our mission in Beyond Set is to be the home for change in Ireland and pave a new path for the brave. Saved by God, and getting people off site.
